Happy Birthday to Me!

What a great Birthday it has been! Not only is it a Friday, marking the beginning of the weekend, but it is Summer and also PAYDAY! What could be better than that?

Well, let me tell you how much better it got...

My boss decided to take a few of us out to the Pensacola Yacht Club for lunch. It has been a gorgeous day. The Yacht Club is an exclusive "club" for yacht owners to get together and be happy that they are all so superior to the rest of us. No, I am just kidding.

It really is a club, though, for yacht owners with a restaurant. The food is rather tasty and the service not too bad. Although, our waitress had no idea what is on the wine list. Yes, my boss let us drink for the occassion.

Although, perhaps that was not too wise because it was a little hard to work for the rest of the day since all I wanted to do was be lazy.

The view from the yacht club is very distracting for conversation as it is situated on Pensacola Bay with beautiful houses on the bank on the other side of the marina as well as huge yachts and smaller yachts. With the sun playing on the water and the green grass and swimming pool it really was a nice treat.

Lary was also a super husband. He was kind enough to ask me whether or not he was allowed to spend money on buying me a birthday present. Very sweet thought, but a totally unnecessary question. Of course you may!

When I arrived home there was a present that had been left on the doorstep, which was a wonderful way to be welcomed home. Larry had bought some really fine wine (don't really remember looking at the label too much) and also grilled some of the best T-bone steaks I had seen. Now, mind you, I was going to say that I had never seen bigger, but then I recalled the Blue Bull Monstrosities. This was just fantastic, though.

For my present I got a diamond cross pendent. As you can see, I am quite thrilled and happy to have some diamonds. It is always a joy when men finally realise that diamonds truly are a woman's best friend and his best ally.

Tomorrow Larry's mom is taking me shopping at a large outdoor shopping mall about an hour's drive away. We probably won't return until around 9 p.m. with many shopping bags and happy faces.

To all those that took the time to wish me happy birthday, I really, truly appreciate it. And, to those that forgot - better luck next time.
