I can alsmost smell the ocean!

Strange title? I think not, considering that I will soon be able to smell the Atlantic again.

Here we don't have as much sea-weed as over there, so you don't really smell the ocean. I have missed the Cape extremely. Autumn is almost upon us here - actually it is here, but we still have some humidity leftover. I get to escape it a little by leaving for Sunny South Africa.

Yes, the rumours are now true. Larry and I bought our tickets on Sunday. South African Airways truly is the cheapest from the States. All the others take me through the UK first, which is a complete detour.

I fly from Atlanta on Sunday, 6 November. Then I have to chill out in the same chair for roughly 23 hours. Then, finally!, I will land in Johannesburg on the 7th to meet my mother. I will see people and do things. I can hardly wait.

To many that have braved this before it might sound insane, but it's not when you have been elsewhere. My mother and I will then drive down to Cape Town - which I am, actually, looking forward to.

That puts me in Cape Town by the 10th for my first appointment with my dress designer on the 11th. We will stretch our trip down over two days (Wednesday and Thursday). The excitement is so tangible that I am driving many nuts with my "I'm going home"
chants.

Larry has to work, unfortunately, until the 20th. So, he will fly to Cape Town on the the 21st and be there on the 22nd. We will probably drive up to Gauteng via the Garden Route on the 6th of December and show Larry some more of the country and then both fly out of JNB International on the 8th. I don't really want to face the Atlanta Customs on my own like last time.

Being married has it's benefits. "Yes, of course I can do it on my own. But, I don't have to!"

That's all for now, folks. We will see you all soon and then I will hang out with everyone as much as possible.

I have already warned Larry to take the time to sleep on the plane, because I KNOW he won't get much of that in Cape Town. Too much to do, too little time.

All my love
Cara
